Background to the lecture series
The then Chair of the Academy, Professor Tony Butterworth was asked to support the development of a Chair of Nursing in Cambridge. The Academy helped to develop a series of four lectures that were intended to inform the research interests of the University and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Lectures took place during 2010 were so successful the decision was taken to run more in 2011. Presentation slides and audio recordings of the lectures are made available on this page where possible.
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is therefore pleased to present the results of the Cambridge Nursing Research Lecture Series, working with the Academy of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting Research (UK) and the Addenbrooke’s Clinical Research Centre.
The lectures were presented by senior academic nurses whose research is world ranking and whose work direcly impacts on the activity of nurses.
