Academy Colloquium 2010
The Academy held its annual colloquium on Wednesday 3rd March. The themes for the day were mentorship and research prioritisation.

The first presentation of the morning was an update from Reverend Professor Pauline Pearson and Professor Annie Topping, who jointly lead the Academy's Mentorship Programme. This presentation is available to download here (PDF 254.1KB).
The audience then heard from Dr Nigel Eady, Programme Manager at the Academy of Medical Sciences on the development of their mentorship programme. His presentation is available for download here (PDF 669KB).
In the afternoon we heard from Mark Fenton, Editor of the UK Database of Uncertainties about the Effects of Treatments (DUETs), hosted by the James Lind Alliance. His presentation is available for download here (PDF 958.7 KB).
Finally Professor Tony Butterworth gave a presentation on the results of the second round of the Academy's Delphi project, which through consultation with senior service leaders and academic nurses, midwives and health visitors, has identified some topic areas of research to prioritise.
